O “πόλεμος” με τα βραβεία που μπορεί να μαζέψει κάθε τίτλος παιχνιδιού είναι σκληρός, υπάρχουν πάντα πολλές προτάσεις και είναι δύσκολο να ξεχωρίσεις τους καλύτερους τίτλους όταν έχεις να διαλέξεις ανάμεσα σε πολλούς υποψηφίους, όμως στο 5ο ετήσιο πρόγραμμα κάποια παιχνίδια αποδείχθηκαν εξαιρετικά δημοφιλή!
Οι τελευταίοι υποψήφιοι τίτλοι συντάχθηκαν από το The GameAwards, που ανακοινώθηκε στις 6 Δεκεμβρίου 2018 με παραγωγό τον Geoff Keighley. Αυτά τα βραβεία παιχνιδιών ψηφίστηκαν δημοσίως από μια τελική ομάδα “βιομηχανικών δικαστών”.
To Red Dead Redemption 2 δήλωσε τρεις υποψηφιότητες για το “Audio”, το “Character / Performance” και το “Narrative” . Επίσης, το Obra Dinn, κέρδισε το βραβείο “Art Direction”, ενώ το God of War πήρε την πρωτιά για φέτος.
